Included Temperature Probes
This kit includes the base VersaTile device as well as two temperature probes. The temperature probes each have a 5' cord and are compatible with the number 1 and 6 black sockets on the VersaTile device. They have a -65 to 257 degrees Fahrenheit temperature range and are perfect for monitoring refrigerators, freezers, and dual walk-in units. The VersaTile itself should be mounted outside of equipment to maximize battery life and WiFi connection, while the temperature probes can be installed inside the equipment. The benefit of having two probes is that users can monitor temperatures for a walk-in freezer and refrigerator simultaneously for maximum utility. 2 hook and loop closures and 4 adhesive cable management netting ties are included.
Convenient Design
The small footprint takes up minimal space, while the convenient adhesive mounting hanger makes it easy to attach the device to a wall without the need for tools. For added mounting versatility, VersaTile also comes equipped with slots for cable tie mounting and a keyhole slot. The cable tie slots can be used around poles, tubes, or other non-flat surfaces, while the keyhole slot can be used with a wall anchor (sold separately). This device features scheduled syncing when using its two long-lasting AA lithium batteries (included). Battery life depends on a variety of factors such as WiFi strength, ambient temperature, and customizable sync settings. Expect up to 1+ years of battery life with default settings.
Real-Time Syncing
To monitor real-time data, plug the VersaTile into a USB-C AC adapter (USB-C cord not included). This will not charge the device, but it does provide an optional continuous power source for when the device is installed in a hard-to-reach location that makes replacing the battery inconvenient.

This monitor is beyond disappointing. We have had both a walking refrigerator & freezer malfunctions and this has alerted us to neither. It is more reliable disconnecting from the internet than actually reading temperature and alerting us to any issues. Leading us to potentially thousands of dollars in food losses.

I ordered the VersaTile recently, as the Premium features are included with an active Plus subscription. The unit and probes are compact but seem durable. The probes are easy to install - this one is configured with two probes, one for each side of the walk in cooler & freezer. The VersaTile itself has a built-in temperature and humidity sensor as well. The wireless range is good, however, be sure to check the signal strength of your wifi near the location you plan to place the VersaTile unit.
The online interface is easy to set up and use, and the automatic email and text message notifications work well. It appears that a door open/close sensor will be added in the future, so I installed my VersaTile unit near the walk-in door in order to take advantage of that upcoming feature.
So far, I would definitely recommend this unit - it works well and is a great price. The temperature logging and automatic alerts will greatly increase food safety.
