This kit includes the base VersaTile device as well as an open door / contact sensor. The sensor has a 5' cord and is compatible with the number 3 pink socket on the VersaTile device. It helps you save energy and protect inventory by ensuring your unit's door remains securely closed when not in use. If there's an issue with your door, the VersaTile device will alert you through the VersaHub dashboard! Users will receive a notification if the door has been opened for a time greater than the "If Persists" setting on the VersaTile device. This is set to 15 minutes by default, but can also be adjusted. It is perfect for monitoring equipment doors or general doors throughout your establishment, providing added peace of mind for security. 2 adhesive cable management netting ties are included. The distance between the two pieces of the sensor should not be greater than 1/4" apart in order for proper function.
With the intuitive VersaHub user interface, you can see the status of your equipment remotely through any device. Using your WebstaurantStore Account, you can view important temperature, humidity, and alarm records for the connected unit right from an easy-to-use, mobile-friendly dashboard! This simple monitoring solution facilitates labor savings and allows employees to spend less time checking temperatures manually and more time focusing on other tasks. Recorded temperature fluctuations may vary due to factors such as airflow, probe placement, probe location, refrigeration cycles, and door openings.
VersaTile offers affordable insurance against expensive loss. Users can set "out of bounds" parameters to indicate if food is exposed to unsafe temperatures. If potential issues occur with your unit, you'll know right away through text/email notifications and audible alarms. These early warnings can help you save thousands annually by alerting you to issues in real-time!
This device uses long-lasting AA lithium batteries (two included). VersaTile battery life depends on a variety of factors such as WiFi strength, ambient temperature, batteries used, device settings, and frequency of alarms. If using default settings and appropriate alarm thresholds, you can expect up to 1+ years of battery life.
Depending on the installation location, the device can also run without batteries through the USB-C port (cord not included). This will not charge the VersaTile device, but it does provide an optional power source for when the device is installed in a hard-to-reach location that makes replacing the battery inconvenient. Plus, a power cord allows the device to record and sync every 5 minutes.
Users can expand the functionality of VersaTile at purchase or at a later date with additional sensors/probes (sold separately). Additional temperature probes include a walk-in refrigerator/freezer temperature probe and a high-temp oven temperature probe. A flood sensor can be purchased to offer an extra layer of protection. Lastly, an electric current sensor allows users to gain insight into the power draw at the breaker panel or point of use (must be installed by a qualified technician).
The small footprint takes up minimal space, meaning more options for installation location. With the convenient adhesive mounting hanger, it's easy to attach the device to a wall without the need for tools. Plus, the rigid housing can withstand temperatures between -10 and 160 degrees Fahrenheit and is corrosion-resistant for added durability. For added mounting versatility, VersaTile also comes equipped with slots for cable tie mounting and a keyhole slot. The cable tie slots can be used around poles, tubes, or other non-flat surfaces, while the keyhole slot can be used with a wall anchor.
VersaHub premium, included in the WebstaurantPlus membership, provides users with extended data history, multi-location support, and unlimited text notifications.
Within the VersaHub platform, each unit that is connected to a VersaTile device can be set to a unique location. You can also set multiple units to a single location for added flexibility.
VersaHub allows you to add two contacts to receive notifications and implement fingertip access to important resources like user manuals and warranty information.

The VersaTiles helped us big time this weekend. We had a problem with our cooler Saturday afternoon and the only way we knew was because of the alerts we had setup. We were able to get a tech in here Saturday afternoon/evening to get the cooler temp back in line. So far working pretty well!

Don't waste your money, I bought 2 high temp and 2 normal. I've been using them for a month now and they aren't accurate at all. The high temp sensor seems to run about 30° low, and yes I have checked the temperature with several different temperature monitoring devices. Another problem is the devices themselves disconnect from the WiFi connection a lot, so much so that you just start ignoring the warnings that are sent so what good does it do you.

The product works good. My issue is, I can't get the probes for it. Maybe on back order. I ordered an additional set with probes included two weeks ago,but it hasn't been sent yet.

Purchased for use in 11 locations. Setup is simple. Ability to read 2 separate units with additional probes. Text and email notifications, with ability to assign different people to receive these notifications at different locations. Great that dashboard is already connected to webstaurant account, making it easy to monitor. Would definitely recommend.
Users can expect up to 1+ years of battery life depending on settings, WiFi connection, and the temperature in which the VersaTile is installed. Battery life begins to diminish when stored below 15 degrees Fahrenheit. Because of this, it is recommended that the device be installed in ambient temperatures. Active alarms will also diminish battery life if left ignored for long periods of time.
Users can configure custom thresholds for their specific application on the VersaHub platform.
